Our Story
Unexpected, yet refreshingly familiar, Copper Vine is a wine-forward public house and inn with a rich New Orleans history. From our lively neighborhood restaurant to our indoor-outdoor event offerings and 11 stylish guest rooms, our versatile spaces and craveable menu are suited to a wide range of social gatherings and occasions.
Dating to the late 1800s, our three-story home on the corner of Poydras Street was once the famous Maylie’s Restaurant—one of New Orleans’ longest-running establishments. A destination by any measure, its brick facade, flowering vines and eye-catching balconies have made this historic structure one of the most recognizable architectural icons in the Central Business District.
In opening Copper Vine, we have aimed to recapture the colorful atmosphere of this beloved neighborhood outpost. Drawing inspiration from the creolization of Caribbean, European and Southern cultures, as well as the mix of fanfare and familiarity that fuels our city’s distinct charm, we’ve developed a casual, yet noteworthy, style of hospitality that represents today’s New Orleans, while nodding to its storied past.
